Trade Show 2008

Sorry it has been awhile since we last updated our blog. We have recently attended a trade show with over 8,000 visitors. A SMASHING SUCCESS!! We started to sell initial product within 2 minutes of opening our trade booth. We have completely sold out of the Sketch-it clipboards in colors RED and GREEN at the trade show. We are currently in production of these two colors and will restock them shortly. Our customers ranged from 8 year old students, kitchen designers and even retired woodworkers. We received overwhelming enthusiasm from the other vendors at the trade show. Other inventors approached the booth to discuss our journey thus far and to give us their support which was great! Special thanks to "BOB 3" @ City BIZ Directory for his insight and suggestions at the trade show. As this was our first trade show, we were extremely happy with the results. We will keep you posted on future trade shows and cites we will be visiting.

The long road to Canada and back!

I have been travelling for the past month on the road from Florida to Canada setting up accounts for distribution. (specifically Toronto Ontario and the maritime province of New Brunswick Canada) Although the journey was long, the feedback and encouragement for success from everyone was awesome from people i met in the airport to contractors i met in hardware stores. We hope to have our Canadian partners up to speed for delivery in the next several months. "great product", "excellent idea", "i need that" , "our contractors will love this" were typical responses after the product demo. I guess seeing is believing. My co-inventor Ryan has been quite busy in Florida on the manufacturing, marketing and distribution side while i was away. Yes he will get a travel break like mine the next time. After visiting the factory in December, we recently received our first prototypes for approval. Final production will be started towards the end of February 2008. We anticipate our first shipments of the Sketch-it clipboards towards the middle of March 2008!
